Chocolate Fountains: Terms and Conditions of Hire

General Terms
Your use and purchase of products and services from The Specialist Event Company Ltd is governed by the terms and conditions set out below.

In these terms and conditions:-
‘We, Our and Us’ means The Specialist Event Company Ltd  either alone or together with you, as the context requires.

‘You’ means the customer ordering goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Prices and Payment
The prices for chocolate fountain packages are our prices and are inclusive of  all items listed on the website, plus delivery within a 20 miles radius of Prestwich. Otherwise a small mileage charge may apply in accordance with the Inland Revenue Guidelines. Prices displayed are valid and effective only in the United Kingdom. We cannot accept your order until you have paid a refundable deposit agreed in advance. Upon payment of your deposit, we will confirm acceptance of your order by email which will be sent to the appropriate address provided on your order details. Whether or not you receive the email of our acceptance of your order, receipt of your deposit will create a legally binding contract between us. All equipment remains the property of The Specialist Event Company Ltd – Chocolate Fountains are for hire only.

Your right to cancel your order
You can cancel your booking at any time prior to the event and receive a full refund of any monies paid less a 10% administration fee.


It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the venue accepts chocolate fountains and will provide us with a round table of a minimum of 5 feet in diameter and a power supply.

It is also the hirer’s responsibility to confirm with the venue if we are required to provide :-

a) Public Liability Insurance

b) Food Hygiene

c) PAT Testing certificates.

We shall not be liable to you where performance of any of our obligations to you is prevented, frustrated or impeded by reasons by act of god, war and other hostilities, civil commotion, accident, strikes, lock outs, trade disputes, acts or restraints of Government impostion or restrictions of imports or exports or any other cause not within reasonable control of The Specialist Event Company Ltd. If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law all other parts of these terms and conditions shall not be affected and shall remain in force. To the extent permitted by law we accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising as a consequence of the advice provided. These terms and conditions and any contact between us shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute between us.

The service we provide
The service provided to you in accordance with this contract is described on this website. We reserve the the right to change dips or chocolate provided at any point in time due to circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to cancel the contract at any point in time.

Should we foresee any problems relating to the supply of the goods or services. We will always endeavor to contact you at the earliest point in time should there be any need to cancel the contract or amend any contents therein. Any theft or damages to our equipment at the location of the booking will be liable to you.

We reserve the right to withdraw our service at any time during an event as a result of disorderly or criminal behaviour of any third parties that we feel may pose a risk to other third parties and our staff.
